We had so much fun working with some great young models during our last photo shoot! And we loved Chassidy makeup tips so much we’ve decided to ask her for a little advice on just how to achieve that signature look of her. So, here you have Chassidy’s awesome (and easy!) tutorial on how to get that elegant, natural smokey eye look in just 6 easy steps!

Step 1: Start with a primer to ensure your eye shadow will be long lasting!

Step 2: I wanted to create a natural smokey eye, so I used gold tones similar to my skin complexion. Once you have chosen your color, simply apply it all over your lid.

Step 3: To create this natural smokey eye, I decided to use a darker brown so that it would blend well with the soft gold I previously applied. Start with the crease in your lid and bring your brush around to the tip of your eyelid. Gently brushing in a circuclar motion to ensure the color will accent just the corners of your eyelids.

Step 4: After adding my darker brown, I always like to add more gold towards my inner eyelid, blending it with my darker brown.

Step 5: Once you’re finished blending, you can add your favorite highlight. I like to use one of the lighter cream colors from my Coastal Scents Palette; just apply a small amount right under your eyebrows and blend with the dark brown used to create the smokey effect on your lids.

Step 6: Add the eyeliner of your choice, and line your eyelid just enough to let your eyes pop. I just added a winged eye by curving my line upwards after going across my lid. Next, add your mascara, and you’ve now achieved a natural smokey eye!
