A dedicated student who is looking for an unpaid internship that requires 20 hours per week? Alma & Co. is accepting resumes for our Social Media & Blog Internship in our Atlanta location. This is your dream internship in fashion and e-commerce. Get hands-on resume building experience learning real world skills.
Internship will be a mix of some hours at the office and virtual with interaction by phone, email and video teleconferencing with management. There will be on-site and field work performed on occasions as opportunities are presented.
You will assist on the day-to-day social media operations and in all facets of outreach including building and maintaining social identities and keeping up-to-date on social media trends. You will regularly interact with core fans in social networks, message boards, video upload sites, microblogging sites, as well as use bookmarking sites and tracking sites to monitor the space. You will pitch stories, write blog posts, research content and images and be involved in miscellaneous multimedia and print projects.
You will learn how to think strategically and see how social media communications fits into the company’s marketing strategy, building long-lasting relationships by providing value to our followers at every turn. You must be able to measure and document the impact of social media, and then suggest action-steps to increase impact. Some graphic design experience would be a plus, but is not required.
Requirements
College degree in Marketing, Communications, English, or a related field or currently pursuing one.
Prior experience with social media websites and blog writing. Impeccable grammar.
Must be able to bring laptop to internship. Must have reliable transportation and adhere to schedule commitments.
Interns must be available for a minimum of two days a week 10am – 4pm, with a lunch break.
Some academic or work experience with statistics and web analytics is a big plus.
